Traditional Art / Paintings / Portraits

My sister, ~taintedsilence asked me what art supplies I wanted for Christmas, and I said I wanted inks to do portraits with like =AuroraWienhold did here [link] and she got me two Dr. Ph. Martin liquid watercolors. And a bottle of india ink.

What you have probably noticed is that I don't do watercolors. I'm terrible with watercolors.... only I guess I'm not? Heidi said that having good watercolors makes a huge difference. She was right. This was me learning how to use them and being like OMG THESE ARE THE BEST.

What the scan doesn't show is that in my wash brush, I had gold dust that won't wash out, so when I was using it, gold dust got into it. So when you move it around in the light you can see a little shimmer.

Martin Freeman as Dr. John Watson in BBC's Sherlock. My favorite show EVER. Martin is the most adorably British man ever.
